Large Vintage Chinese Hardstone Bonsai Tree — Floral, Marked Ceramic Base

This large vintage Chinese bonsai tree sculpture beautifully represents mid-20th century export craftsmanship, likely dating from the 1960s–1980s. Expertly composed of hand-carved hardstone blossoms and leaves, it displays a vivid palette of pink, yellow, lavender, white, and red stones, each individually shaped and wired to a flexible metal framework. Fine thread details mimic delicate stamens, enhancing its lifelike presence.

The arrangement is anchored in a classic footed ceramic base textured with faux gravel. The pot is marked on the front with hand-painted Chinese characters, which are indecipherable but lend authenticity and character.

These ornate gemstone trees symbolize harmony, abundance, and prosperity, and were treasured decorative pieces in mid-century homes. This substantial example makes an impressive centerpiece or unique statement in any art or Asian decor collection.
