Description

Ebelhare Signed Studio Art Glass Vase — Blue & Lavender, 4″x4″, 1989

Hand-crafted studio art glass vase signed “Ebelhare” and dated 4‑89 on the underside. Created by American studio glass artist Drew Ebelhare (b. 1950, Canon City, CO), this elegant piece showcases his early exploration beyond his renowned millefiori paperweights.

Blown in April 1989, the vase features a striking marbled swirl of sky blue, lavender, and soft white tones, with a clear base and rough pontil mark attesting to its handcrafted nature. Measuring approximately 4 inches high with a 4-inch diameter, its tall cylindrical form makes it ideally suited as a small vase, decorative vessel, or studio art accent — rather than as a functional tumbler or wine coaster.

This piece exemplifies Ebelhare’s commitment to vibrant color and fluid form, adding a unique and collectible touch to any modern glass collection.

Condition:
Excellent, like new, with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The rim is smooth, the colors vivid, and only minor shelf wear is visible on the base.

Size:

  • Height: 4 inches
  • Diameter: 4 inches

Drew Ebelhare is highly regarded for his intricate millefiori paperweights, which have sold for up to $1,115 at auction. Signed blown vessels like this are less common, making this a special find for collectors seeking an early example of his broader studio glass work.
