Lawrence Vargas Ceramic Tile Set – Southwest Art
This set of three framed ceramic tiles by New Mexico artist Lawrence Vargas, dated 1988 and 1989, exemplifies his distinctive Southwestern style. Each tile features stylized imagery—such as kachina-inspired figures, pottery, and floral motifs—rendered in a vibrant palette of red, turquoise, black, and earth tones.
Two tiles are vertically oriented (9 x 5 inches), and one is square (9 x 9 inches), all mounted in natural-finish oak wood frames.
