Bushnell 7x40 Binoculars w/ Leather Case – 1950s-60s, Coated Optics
A vintage pair of Bushnell 7x40 binoculars from the late 1950s to early 1960s, marked “Triple Tested” and “Coated Optics,” with serial number 543273. These binoculars reflect Bushnell’s quality standards during the postwar era, featuring their signature coated lenses for improved clarity and contrast.
The binoculars have a textured black finish with gloss-black trim, adjustable eyepieces, and a smooth central focusing wheel. The original fitted hard leather case accompanies the piece, complete with stitched construction, riveted mounts, a metal clasp closure, and an adjustable shoulder strap. The velvet-lined interior shows typical wear from age.
This functional and collectible set is ideal for vintage optics enthusiasts or those seeking a reliable, period-authentic field glass.
Condition
In good vintage condition. The binoculars exhibit wear to the finish consistent with age and use; however, the optics remain clear, and the focusing mechanism operates smoothly. The leather case shows signs of wear, including scuffs and age-appropriate wear to the velvet lining, but remains structurally sound with functional hardware. Please refer to the provided photos for a detailed view of the item's condition.
