This handcrafted shadow box from Cielito Lindo Estudio in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, features a vividly painted ceramic rooster encircled by colorful paper flowers and delicate black lace. The front displays the Spanish proverb “Quien es buen gallo, donde quiera canta” ("He who is a good rooster can crow anywhere"), with an English translation affixed to the back.

Established in the 1980s by artist José Antonio Madrazo, also known as “El Chato” or “Santo Madrazo,” Cielito Lindo Estudio is renowned for its unique folk art that blends traditional Mexican culture, humor, and artisanal craftsmanship. Each piece is a one-of-a-kind creation, reflecting Mexico's rich cultural heritage and vibrant spirit.
