Vintage Tree of Life Candelabra – Adam & Eve, Handcrafted Clay, 22” Tall
A vintage Mexican Tree of Life candelabra, hand-sculpted and painted in clay, depicting a vivid Garden of Eden tableau. Crafted in Metepec, Mexico—famous for its narrative ceramic trees—this piece features Adam and Eve beneath a central serpent, surrounded by four doves, floral bursts, and foliage.
Standing 22 inches tall, it accommodates five candles (included). While unsigned, the form and finish closely align with mid-20th century Metepec folk traditions. The earthen hues—ranging from ochre and deep blue to terracotta—enhance its hand-painted character. Sculptural elements are arranged in a balanced, symmetrical layout typical of devotional "Árbol de la Vida" compositions.
Both a spiritual symbol and decorative sculpture, this is a standout example of Mexican folk art pottery.
