Vintage Sunbeam T-20B Radiant Control Toaster – 1952–1957, 1275W, Tested
This vintage Sunbeam Model T-20B Radiant Control toaster, produced between 1952 and 1957, is a mid-century icon of both design and innovation. Featuring a polished chrome exterior with clean Art Deco lines, it was among the first toasters to offer fully automatic operation—lowering and raising bread without the need for a manual lever.
The T-20B model improved upon earlier designs with a refined internal mechanism, delivering quicker and smoother toasting. Its patented radiant control technology senses the surface temperature of the bread, allowing for even browning regardless of initial bread temperature. A hallmark of American engineering, it blends function and form in a timeless silhouette.
Condition:
In good vintage condition, with surface wear and scuffing consistent with age and use. The chrome housing shows light scratches and minor blemishes. The toaster has been tested and is fully functional.
