Red Wing Pottery Lotus Bowl & Candleholders – Ivory Glaze, Marked 1620 & 1619
Inspired by the graceful symmetry of a lotus blossom, this mid-century Red Wing Pottery set features a fluted console bowl (#1620) and a coordinating pair of taper candleholders (#1619), all rendered in a creamy ivory glaze. The flowing, petal-like contours of each piece capture the organic elegance of the lotus form—a hallmark of 1960s American ceramic design.
The bowl is generously sized at 10¼" wide and marked “Red Wing U.S.A. 1620” on the underside. The candleholders, marked “16/9 Red Wing USA”, are scaled to perfectly complement the centerpiece and fit standard 1" taper candles. This sculptural trio blends form and function, offering both aesthetic appeal and practical use as a decorative centerpiece.
Condition
Good overall condition. The glaze remains smooth and glossy, with some wax residue in the candleholders from prior use. No cracks or major chips are present, and any minor wear is consistent with age.
