Description

Lucia Pearce “Revolution” Poster – Buckminster Fuller Quote, Signed, 1968

This original 1968 offset lithograph, titled Revolution, is part of Lucia Pearce’s evocative “Flower Power” poster series, printed by Looart Press in Colorado Springs. It features a dramatic black tree silhouette set against a fiery red and magenta floral backdrop, paired with a compelling quote by R. Buckminster Fuller: “The revolution has come—set on fire from the top…” A vivid example of 1960s counterculture art, the work merges graphic boldness with activist ideals.

Signed in pencil by Pearce at lower right and titled at lower left, this limited edition (#911) captures the era’s spirit of visual protest and social transformation. A collectible piece of mid-century design and political history.

Condition:
In good condition overall, with notable age-related wear. The image area remains vibrant with strong color retention and no visible creasing or tears. Scattered foxing and light staining are present, particularly along the margins and in sections of the floral imagery. The reverse side shows significant spotting and discoloration at the edges, consistent with age and prior handling. The paper is structurally sound and lies flat.

Dimensions:
30 x 21.25 inches.
