Nolan Blansit & Mark Cavatorta Wall Vases — Hand-Sculpted, Signed
An exceptional pair of hand-crafted ceramic wall vases by Nolan Blansit and Mark Cavatorta, two artists affiliated with the renowned Mossy Creek Pottery of Oregon in the late 1990s. These sculptural pieces represent the region’s dedication to textural depth and organic design.
The circular wall pocket by Nolan Blansit features a lush mottled green glaze with dimensional leaf appliqué, evocative of Northwest flora. It is signed on the back and measures approximately 9 inches in diameter by 3 inches deep. The tall terracotta wall vase by Mark Cavatorta is deeply carved with swirling botanical and geometric motifs. It features both an embossed mark and a pictorial signature, and measures 16 x 3 x 2 inches.
Both works are hand-sculpted and painted, showcasing rich surface detail and naturalistic themes. Whether displayed individually or as a set, these wall pieces offer striking visual impact and collectible value.
Originally sold through Mossy Creek Pottery, a collective known for representing leading Northwest ceramic artists, these vases exemplify late 20th-century studio pottery from the Pacific Northwest.
