Pair of Burlwood Parsons Coffee Tables – In the Style of Milo Baughman, 1970s
A sculptural pair of burlwood Parsons-style coffee tables, designed in the manner of Milo Baughman and dating to the 1970s. These tables feature rich, bookmatched burl veneer over clean, geometric forms with mitered corners and substantial 3-inch square legs. The bold, square proportions and minimalist aesthetic reflect Baughman’s influence as well as the high-end craftsmanship seen in pieces by Founders Furniture and Thayer Coggin.
Though unmarked, the materials and construction align closely with known designs from the era, and the dimensions are consistent with documented Parsons-style tables attributed to Baughman. Their symmetrical shape and luxurious veneer make them ideal as standalone coffee tables or grouped modularly in a larger living space
Condition
In very good vintage condition with only slight signs of previous use. Minor wear is visible where the thick burl panels join, common in this type of veneer work. Both tables are stable and structurally sound with no loose veneer. Please review all photos for condition details.
