Humboldt Soil Mixer Setup (H-4260 + H-4230N) w/ Hamilton Motor — Science or Shakes!
Science meets soda fountain in this quirky yet fully functional soil dispersion mixer system—a lab-grade setup built for geotechnical testing... or maybe your next milkshake.
This unit pairs a Hamilton Beach 936-2 motor base (100 watts of classic American power) with the Humboldt H-4260 dispersion mixer shaft, the industry standard for prepping soil suspensions in hydrometer analysis. It’s the kind of equipment civil engineers trust for serious sediment work—but it also happens to look like something out of a 1950s diner.
You’ll get two stainless steel Humboldt H-4265 mixing cups, ideal for swirling clay-rich soils into solution—or whipping up your favorite chocolate malt. Rounding out the set is a sealed 425g bottle of sodium hexametaphosphate. (No, it’s not sugar. Don't drink it.)
Whether you’re running ASTM D422 particle-size analysis or just like the industrial look in your kitchen, this system is a conversation starter that works.
