Set of 5 Adjustable 1440-4 C-Clamps – 4" Opening, USA-Made
This lot includes five vintage Adjustable 1440-4 C-clamps, proudly made in the USA by the Adjustable Clamp Company—an industry staple since 1903 and the originator of the famous Pony Jorgensen line. Each clamp is marked “ADJUSTABLE” on the cast iron frame and features a 4-inch jaw capacity with a solid throat depth ideal for light- to medium-duty clamping tasks.
Built from durable malleable iron with a cold-drawn steel screw and classic T-handle design, these clamps offer the kind of craftsmanship favored by professional woodworkers and metalworkers for decades. The swiveling pressure pads distribute force evenly, making them suitable for use on flat or irregular surfaces. Their rugged construction and timeworn patina also make them a desirable addition for collectors of vintage tools or industrial décor.
Condition
In good condition with wear consistent with age and workshop use. All clamps function properly with intact threads and secure pads. Visible oxidation and finish wear throughout, and one clamp has a slightly bent handle that does not affect performance. Please refer to the photos
