This authentic early 20th-century Dietz No. 2 D-Lite lantern features its original embossed LOC-NOB glass globe, marked with the patent date December 4, 1923. Manufactured by the renowned R.E. Dietz Company of New York, this model was introduced in 1919 as a more affordable, side-lifting alternative to the earlier top-lift designs .
The lantern showcases a durable tin construction with a reinforced star-patterned base, wire globe guard, and loop handle.
