Antique Copper Water Dispenser w/ Brass Spigot — Late 19th/Early 20th C.
Dating to the late 19th or early 20th century, this antique copper water dispenser exemplifies utilitarian craftsmanship with enduring charm. It features a cylindrical body, domed lid with formed top handle, and a brass spigot marked “NEW BRITAIN” — a known American maker of plumbing hardware from that era.
Hand-formed from sheet copper, the piece bears a warm patina developed over decades. Decorative ridging encircles the upper body, and one of the original applied side handles remains; the other is absent. The dispenser’s compact size and authentic wear make it a compelling piece for farmhouse kitchens, period displays, or rustic decor.
Condition:
Fair condition, showing age-appropriate wear. The left handle is missing, and the body shows dents and dings throughout. Verdigris is visible at joints and hardware, and the interior is oxidized. Brass spigot is untested.
Dimensions:
13" H x 9½" W x 13" D
(Measured with lid handle and spigot included)
