A striking Mid-Century Chinese black lacquer cabinet featuring hand-painted scenic and floral motifs with applied stone figures in traditional attire. Rather than being inlaid, the carved figures—likely composed of hardstone or soapstone—are mounted atop the lacquer surface, adding dimensional texture and visual interest. The cabinet is richly decorated across all visible panels, with gold-lined lattice borders, birds, and peonies painted in warm tones.
