Diana 120 Film Camera — Boxed with Accessories, Iconic Lo-Fi Classic
Offered here is a vintage Diana camera, a cult-favorite 120 roll film model known for its unmistakably dreamy, vignette-heavy images. The Diana was a budget camera made almost entirely of plastic — including its lens — yet it inadvertently became an icon of artistic and experimental photography.
This model, likely from the original Great Wall Plastic Factory production run, features its signature blue-gray top housing, textured grip panels, and a plastic meniscus lens that creates unique lo-fi effects: soft focus, lens flare, and characteristic falloff at the edges. These “flaws” later became artistic tools embraced by fine art photographers, most notably Nancy Rexroth, whose seminal 1976 photobook Diana elevated the camera to art-world fame.
Included in this set is the original branded box with illustrated graphics, instruction manual, unused cable release, and a pristine black strap. The front lens cap is marked “Diana,” confirming it as an original vintage issue rather than a later reissue.
Condition:
Excellent, untested. Exceptionally clean for its age, showing only minimal signs of handling. The original strap appears unused. Includes original box, manual, and cable release. Camera is offered as-is and has not been tested for functionality. A standout example of a beloved classic.
