Kodak Six-20 Brownie Special Box Camera – 1938–1942 Art Deco Design
Offered is a vintage Kodak Six-20 Brownie Special box camera, produced between 1938 and 1942. Designed by famed industrial designer Walter Dorwin Teague, this model showcases a distinctive Art Deco form with its angled body, Bakelite faceplate, and streamlined silhouette.
It was built to use 620 roll film and captures 2¼ x 3¼ inch (6x9 cm) negatives. The fixed-focus lens is switchable between two zones—“5 to 10 Feet” and “Beyond 10 Feet”—while the rotary shutter offers both instantaneous and timed exposures. A top-mounted optical viewfinder allows for basic framing, and the built-in foot allows for stable upright use in portrait orientation.
Condition
Fair, with moderate wear consistent with age. The handle is absent. Surface shows dust and lifting material on the top panel. Finish shows wear to metal components and body edges. Camera is untested and sold as shown. Please see images for specific condition.
