Kodak Brownie Starflash Camera Outfit in Box – Vintage with Bulbs & Batteries
Produced from 1957 to 1965, the Brownie Starflash was part of Kodak’s “Star” series, aimed at casual family use. It reflects Kodak’s postwar mission to put photography in every household and stands as a classic example of mid-century American design. This set includes the Brownie Starflash camera with built-in flash reflector, M-2 flashbulbs, two AA-style batteries, and the original retail packaging with gold-tone grid insert and colorful printed lid.
Physical Characteristics:
The Starflash features a silver metal faceplate with bold black trim and integrated flash unit. It uses a Dakon lens with fixed focus and exposure values labeled for color (EV13) and black & white (EV14) film. This model was designed for 127 roll film, producing twelve 4x4 cm exposures per roll. The flash operates with M-2 bulbs and is powered by two penlite (AA) batteries. The body is molded plastic with side-mounted metal strap lugs. The presentation tray is gold with a textured grid surface, and the outer box showcases period graphics, including a child playing with a toy dog.
Condition Overview:
Good, dented, finish wear, untested. Metal surrounding lens is dented. Box has storage wear.
