Kodak Instant Camera Trio – EK4, EK6 & Colorburst 100 Lot
This vintage lot includes three iconic Kodak instant cameras from the late 1970s and early 1980s, a period when Kodak attempted to compete directly with Polaroid in the instant photography market. The Kodak EK4 and EK6 models were introduced in 1976 as part of Kodak’s EK (Ektra) series. Both cameras use PR10 instant film and feature a built-in electronic flash, fixed-focus lens, darken/lighten exposure slider, and simple viewfinder. The EK6 is a slightly later, higher-end version with cosmetic updates but retains the same core functionality and body shape as the EK4. The third camera is a Kodak Colorburst 100, introduced in the early 1980s as part of the final wave of Kodak instant cameras before the company ceased production in 1986 due to a legal dispute with Polaroid. The Colorburst 100 features a sleek faux-leather front panel, improved focusing dial, and a lighter, more modernized design. All three cameras are American-made and reflect Kodak's distinct industrial styling of the era. They were designed for simplicity and fast-loading integral film systems and are now highly sought after by collectors of analog photography gear and retro technology.
Condition: Good, untested, as shown. All cameras display light to moderate surface wear consistent with age. No major cracks or missing parts are visible. Cameras are offered as-is for display or collection and have not been tested for functionality.
