2 Pairs Sterling Silver Candlesticks – Crown Marked
A charming collection of two pairs of sterling weighted candlesticks, featuring both marked and maker-identified examples. The larger pair is stamped “Sterling Weighted” and bears a pictorial crown hallmark—indicative of Crown Silver Mfg. Co.—while the smaller pair is marked “Pat Pend Sterling Weighted.”
Crafted in classic mid-century style, each candlestick displays traditional contours with a rounded base and detailed rope-like border. The silver finish offers a soft luster, showing moderate surface wear consistent with age and use. Traces of wax and some dents and dings are present, as expected from vintage pieces.
This set includes:
- Large Pair: Approx. 3 1/2" tall with 3 1/4" base diameter; total weight 705 grams.
- Small Pair: Approx. 2 1/2" tall with 2 7/8" base diameter; total weight 285 grams.
Condition
In good vintage condition overall. Both pairs exhibit minor dings, light surface wear, and residual wax. The silver remains intact with visible patina and no major structural issues. These are unpolished to preserve the original finish, and the buyer may clean to preference.
