Pair of Vintage Olinalá Lacquer Boxes — Hand-Painted Guerrero Folk Art Scenes
This pair of hand-carved and hand-painted wooden boxes reflects the rich lacquerware traditions of Mexican folk art, likely originating from Olinalá, Guerrero. Decorated with panoramic countryside scenes of cottages, rolling hills, palm trees, and floral flourishes, these boxes are coated in a high-contrast black lacquer finish with vibrant pigments applied in a stylized, expressive brushstroke technique. Condition
