Wedgwood “Flaxman” 5-Piece Serving Set – 1924, Floral Design
A coordinated 5-piece serving set from the Wedgwood “Flaxman” line, made in Etruria, England, and stamped with pattern code A7236 and the factory mark “4HA.” This elegant grouping includes a square platter, oval platter, twin handled vegetable dishes, and a gravy boat with underplate—all produced in classic cream-colored earthenware with scalloped edges and hand-colored floral basket motif.
Dating to circa 1924, this line references the work of John Flaxman, the renowned neoclassical sculptor who contributed significantly to Wedgwood’s design legacy. Each piece displays the signature polychrome floral basket framed by a black lattice band and green trim, blending functionality with vintage charm.
A practical and decorative addition to a larger service or ideal as a standalone highlight for collectors of early 20th-century English ceramics.
