Description

Japanese Showa-Era Chadansu Tea Cabinet – Glass & Wood Sliding Doors

This compact Japanese chadansu (tea cabinet), likely from the early Showa period (circa 1930s–1950s), exemplifies traditional design and craftsmanship. The cabinet features two dovetail-constructed drawers, two glass-panel sliding doors revealing fixed shelves (approximately 10½" and 8½" in height), two wood-panel sliding doors, and a single hinged cabinet door.

Crafted from solid wood with a warm, medium-brown finish, the piece showcases clean lines and functional aesthetics characteristic of the era. The combination of glass and wood sliding doors offers both display and concealed storage options, making it a versatile addition to various interior settings.

Condition:
In good condition, exhibiting wear and signs of use consistent with age. Notably, the right sliding door sticks slightly during operation. All other components, including drawers and doors, function properly. Please refer to the provided images for a detailed view of the item's condition.
