Studio Pottery Hanging Planters — Stoneware, Hand-Painted, 1970s
Pair of vintage studio pottery hanging planters, crafted in hand-thrown stoneware and featuring earthy, abstract slip-painted designs. One pot is decorated with looping, shield-like motifs in deep brown and rust; the other displays sweeping natural curves in warm tones. Each planter is suspended by a set of blackened metal chains, measuring approximately 18 inches long.
A circular impressed stamp appears near the top of each pot, though the marking is indiscernible. The textured, speckled surface and organic coloration reflect classic 1970s studio pottery aesthetics. These pieces offer both decorative charm and functional appeal, ideal for indoor or covered outdoor use.
A unique addition for collectors of mid-century ceramics or handmade pottery art.
Condition
Good overall, with light signs of use. Minor mineral deposits are visible on one side, and a faint surface crack is present on one pot (as shown). Chains are secure, and the pieces remain structurally sound for hanging display.
