"Treescape" and Felted Wool Heart by Beth Cunningham
The essence of handmade is very important to artist (and our friend) Beth Cunningham. She does all the designing and finishing herself when creating her “Treescapes". This particular Treescape is a window panel focusing on her fine hand-fabricated wire tree, and is created using only copper wire and solder. Beth creates exquisite hand-formed wire trees as her main focus, often on stained glass backgrounds. This piece is a tree and roots on a decorative wire circle backdrop. Her art is unique and gorgeous, and her lovely trees invoke a feeling of being out in nature's beauty and serenity. Beth's unique Treescape will look great hanging in a window with sunlight making it stand out, or on a wall, as well. Beth was "greatly influenced by summers [she] spent at [her family's] camp in the majestic mountains of the Adirondacks" where she grew up. She loves trees and nature's beauty, and loves sharing it in her works of art. Each of Beth's Treescapes is unique and beautiful.
Beth’s felted wool hearts are cute, and can decorate almost any space. Hanging out on a mirror or wall, dangling from a lamp or peg, wherever you want to be reminded that you are loved. The hearts can be sprayed with something like lavender and placed in a drawer or elsewhere as a sachet. Beth tells us that her kitties often steal her hearts and chase them all over her house! We cat lovers know that our pusses always steal our hearts!
Beth creates her unique hearts by cutting out pieces of wool felt, sewing them together using embroidery stitches, and then decorating the hearts with buttons and ribbons. As with all of Beth’s art, these hearts definitely are made with love.
The value of this Treescape and wool heart is $75.
