Navajo Sterling Silver Turquoise Bear Paw Pendant & Earrings Set — Vintage
This vintage Navajo jewelry set includes a sterling silver pendant and coordinating post-back earrings, each featuring the powerful bear paw motif—a symbol of strength, protection, and healing in Navajo culture. At the center of each piece is a natural turquoise cabochon (approx. 12 mm x 9.3 mm), bezel-set in serrated silver and highlighted by deeply oxidized claw cutouts.
Handcrafted from unmarked but tested sterling silver, this mid-20th century Navajo set showcases the bold visual language of the Southwest. The organic teardrop shapes and deep symbolism speak to both personal empowerment and cultural heritage. The pendant has a 0.19" bale opening for chain or cord wear, and the earrings are fitted with post backs for pierced ears.
Though unsigned, the quality and design are consistent with traditional Navajo silversmithing techniques, often created for trading posts or personal adornment.
