Description

“All That Jazz” cast-resin sculptures simply are amazing. This preowned limited-edition series by Willitts Designs International (a company of Chinese artists) features detailed jazz musicians and singers performing on their instruments or with a microphone. Each sculpture is raised on a square black marble base and is stamped with an artist signature, mint date, and other collection details. (We haven’t had time to break into the boxes for this information, but will update as we are able.)

Each of the sculptures was minted in the early 2000s. After casting, the resin is cold painted. Some of the paints give the impression that the horns, cymbals, microphone and other “metal” features really are brass or steel.

Made through a skillful invasion of solid forms with delicate voids and evocative gaps, the artists employ negative space as a poignant tool, crafting a symphony of mood, movement, and emotion that resonates deeply within each piece. This impressive sculpture is a form of art and music celebration. A must-have collection that will enhance and enchant any interior, the “All That Jazz” collection conveys both rhythm and soul through the interplay of form and space in sculpture.

This preowned sculpture of a Baritone Saxophone Player was donated by an area resident who no longer had room for the sculptures in her home. In searching online, the value of this sculpture may be anywhere from $500-2,500.

Condition:
Good - this sculpture is preowned.

The main issue with this sculpture is that there is some white stuff on his lips, possibly an adhesive of some sort.

Approximate Size:
