Hannah Dean has been a great addition to our quaint mountain village since she moved here a few years ago. She is a very talented painter and writer, and a kind and loving person. Although she is a fairly prolific painter now, Hannah didn’t begin painting until college. She was very kind to donate this fun and colorful cat painting to help 1CaT, and we are very grateful. Hannah painted this cute kitty several years ago, and prints have been sold through the European retailer Anthropologie. Hannah Dean, Cloudcroft, NM

Hannah Dean grew up in Artesia, and then lived in Lubbock for 15 years, where she completed two Master’s degrees in Art Education and Fine Arts. She moved to Cloudcroft in 2018, where she lives with her husband, daughter, and dog.
Hannah’s work is in private collections around the globe. She founded “The Bowerbird” and occasionally writes for “Glasstire” and “Southwest Contemporary” magazines. She currently serves as part owner and Senior Editor for the online local news site, Cloudcroft Reader.
