"San Damiano" Retablo, Embossed Copper Cross w/Glass Beads, View Watchlist >
on Embossed Handmade Paper, Framed, by Gloria Villaverde
This beautiful and unique retablo entitled “San Damiano” was created by local mountain resident Gloria Villaverde. She hasn’t done much art for several years, but she was very kind and donated four pieces of her art to help 1CaT, and we are very grateful. This lovely piece is referred to as a retablo in Spanish. It includes an embossed copper cross with the crucified Christ, and a number of Catholic icons. The cross is mounted on a piece of embossed handmade 100% cotton rag paper with colored edges, and Gloria’s signature “Villaverde”. It is beautifully crafted, and will look wonderful hanging in some art lover’s home for many years to come. Check out the photos to see some details of Gloria’s “San Damiano”. The estimated value of Gloria's cool piece is $200.
