Kaiser Porcelain Dolphin Sculpture – Signed Gawantka, #509 W. Germany
This finely crafted porcelain sculpture by Kaiser of West Germany showcases two dolphins in mid-leap, frozen in a dynamic pose above cresting waves. Molded from white bisque porcelain, the piece is matte in finish with elegant, naturalistic detailing.
Designed by artist D. Gawantka—whose signature is impressed on the rear of the base—this model is numbered 509 on the underside. The base also bears the classic Kaiser maker’s mark and includes a "Golden Crown E&R" export label, confirming its West German origin.
A timeless marine-themed accent piece, this collectible sculpture reflects Kaiser’s legacy of precision and artistic refinement.
Condition
In good condition with some visible wear. Notable issues include a small 1/8" chip to the paint on the rear dolphin’s dorsal fin and cracking in the paint in the same area, as seen in detail photos. No structural cracks or repairs observed. Underside shows typical shelf wear.
