This 43-inch handwoven rug by El Paso Saddle Blanket Co features a bold Zapotec-style design, inspired by traditional Oaxacan weaving motifs. Made in India and tagged accordingly, the piece is crafted from 90% wool and showcases vibrant geometric patterns—such as stepped fretwork and diamond medallions—against a rich red ground.
The use of earthy tones like navy, forest green, ochre, and tan adds a warm, rustic feel ideal for Southwestern, bohemian, or eclectic interiors. Tassels at each corner complete the artisan look. Though produced outside of Mexico, this rug faithfully echoes the visual language of Zapotec textile traditions.
