We are very grateful for all that our local friend and 1CaT sanctuary volunteer Maryann Bigelow does for us and our kitties. She donated this framed handmade fabric art piece that she has had for a number of years. She acquired this vintage piece at a garage sale years ago, and doesn’t know much at all about it, except that Doris was a talented fabric artist. Using small hand-cut pieces of different fabrics, Doris created a landscape that definitely is reminiscent of the Irish countryside. As written on the back of the framed art, this piece was given as a gift at Christmas 2001 from Dad to Ryan. See the closeup photos to see more details of this well done piece of fabric art, including the artist’s last known address in Belfast. This nicely detailed fabric art has brought pleasure for many years, and needs to be hung in an art lover's home to be enjoyed for many more years to come. Although we were unable to find any information about the artist or her art, some artist friends estimate the value of this framed vintage print to be $200-$250.

Good - the paper on the back of the frame is starting to roll up away from the edge in a few places, but this piece is in great shape considering its age.
