Description

Franciscan Desert Rose

A complete matched set of 13 teacups with 13 coordinating saucers in the classic Desert Rose pattern by Franciscan. Hand-painted in vibrant shades of pink and green with earthy brown accents, this beloved American dinnerware design has adorned tables since 1941. The floral motif, applied by hand, reflects the rustic charm and sculptural quality that defined mid-century California pottery.

Each piece is marked “U.S.A.” with the distinctive Franciscan “TV-style” backstamp, indicating U.S. production and dating this set to around 1962. The cups measure approximately 4 inches in diameter, while the saucers span 5.75 inches.

This 26-piece vintage lot combines style and history—perfect for collectors, decorators, or everyday use with a nostalgic touch.

Condition

Good condition overall, with light signs of use consistent with age. Some minor wear to the painted surfaces and glaze, but no chips or cracks are visible. The hand-painted detailing remains vibrant and intact.
