"One Cat", 55" X 45" Wall-Hanging Art Quilt by Karen Watts View Watchlist >
This quilt, “One Cat”, grew out of a birdhouse block exchange with some friends at a quilt retreat. Karen had purchased the steampunk birds panel and intended to use her eight birdhouses with it. One of the birdhouses had some serious issues, so Karen decided to use the cat instead, and title the quilt “One Cat“. The birdhouses all use various techniques, which adds to the whimsy of this entertaining quilt. The strips at the top and bottom of the quilt are called 9-patches, and they are made using hand-dyed fabrics. Check out the closeup photos to see details of all the different blocks used in this fun and whimsical quilt. Karen's quilt "One Cat" is valued at $400+.
