Description

Early 1900s Boch Frères Commode Chair

Want to impress your friends and make your neighbors just a little jealous? This antique Belgian commode chair is here to do exactly that.

Crafted in the early 1900s, this was once a private chamber seat—yes, a personal toilet—disguised as elegant furniture. Made of rich walnut with turned legs, a scalloped apron, and a woven cane seat, it features a removable top and forged iron hook latch that opens to reveal the real star: a ceramic chamber pot stamped by Boch Frères La Louvière, one of Belgium’s finest ceramic makers of the era.

It’s part furniture, part history, and 100% a conversation piece. Use it as a charming indoor planter, quirky end table, or even just display it as-is. One thing's for sure—it’s not going unnoticed.
