Vintage Wallendorf® Ice Skater Figurine – Model 1663/0, Germany, c.1950s
A graceful and highly collectible porcelain figurine by Wallendorf®, crafted in Germany and modeled by renowned sculptor Kurt Steiner. This piece, model number 1663/0, captures the fluid motion and elegance of a young female figure skater mid-performance. Produced circa 1950s–1960s, the figure features outstretched arms, a flowing skirt, and bent knee, showcasing Steiner’s hallmark sense of movement. Her white skating dress is adorned with delicate green diamond sock detailing, and her skates are accented with gold-painted blades. The figurine is finished in a smooth gloss glaze with subtle hand-painted facial features and blushed cheeks. The underside is marked with the crowned “W” and “1764” Wallendorf stamp, and impressed with model number 1663/0. A stunning example of mid-century German porcelain artistry, ideal for display or as part of a skating-themed collection.
