Description

Wallendorf Ice Skater Figurine by Steiner — Germany, 1950s Porcelain

This exquisite porcelain figurine, titled “Eiskunstläuferin,” was designed in 1953 by esteemed German sculptor Kurt Steiner. Crafted by Wallendorf, one of Germany's oldest porcelain manufacturers, the piece showcases a graceful female figure skater in mid-performance. Hand-painted with delicate green accents and gold-toned skate blades, the figurine combines matte and glazed finishes to highlight its intricate details. Marked with the green underglaze crown over “W” and “1764,” and impressed with model number 1438 and “Steiner” on the base, this collectible stands approximately 25.5 cm tall. A fine example of mid-century German porcelain artistry, perfect for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
