Description

Pair of Vintage Native American-Themed Dolls – Leather, Beads & Bow

This is a vintage pair of Native American-themed souvenir dolls, likely produced in the mid-20th century. Each figure stands approximately 7 inches tall and is crafted with a variety of materials, including leather, wool, glass beads, wood, synthetic hair, and feather embellishments. These dolls represent a stylized depiction of Native American attire, typical of tourist and novelty dolls of the 1950s–1970s.

The pair includes a male figure outfitted with a tan faux-leather suit, bow and quiver, and beaded accents in red, turquoise, and black. His companion wears a darker suede-like outfit with multicolored beaded decoration and a white wool shawl draped over the shoulder. Both feature molded plastic heads with painted features, rooted black braided hair, and feather-tipped headbands.

Such dolls were commonly produced as commercial souvenirs and reflect the era's fascination with Native American culture, though they are not tribe-specific nor intended as authentic representations.
