Chippendale Revival Mahogany Corner Chair — Needlepoint Seat, 34" H
A late 19th to early 20th-century Chippendale Revival chair, featuring a gracefully curved crest rail, turned and reeded vertical supports, and slender, tapered legs. The seat is upholstered in hand-stitched needlepoint, with a floral bouquet in shades of red, blue, pink, and green atop a beige ground.
Designed to sit in the corner of a room, this piece reflects the symmetry and decorative spirit of the Chippendale Revival era. Its mahogany frame and classic silhouette recall 18th-century English design traditions, reinterpreted with Victorian and Edwardian sensibilities. The warm patina of the mahogany and quality joinery further affirm its age and authenticity.
Condition
Good, with an aged restoration. Sturdy and structurally sound. Evidence of past restoration, particularly beneath the seat. There is no remarkable damage. Needlepoint remains vibrant and tightly secured. Please refer to the photos for further detail.
