Pair of Hand-Painted Talavera Ceramic Jars with Lids
This vibrant pair of hand-crafted and hand-painted Talavera ceramic jars showcases the rich tradition of Mexican pottery. Each jar features intricate, multicolor floral and geometric motifs in traditional Puebla-style, executed in bold cobalt blue, emerald green, sunflower yellow, and terracotta red glazes.
The rounded jar with double handles is a standout example of folk artistry, with ornate looped handles and a domed lid. Its companion is a more architectural, rectangular canister-style jar with a snug-fitting lid, ideal for display or storage.
Both jars are marked “Hecho En México” and attributed to Mexico Nieves, a known name in quality Mexican ceramics.
Condition: Overall in Good Condition with signs of use consistent with handmade ceramic ware.
Glazes remain bright and vibrant.
Two small chips on the inner rim of the lidded jar (double-handled piece)
No cracks or structural issues observed.
