Charming set of three hand-painted Sicilian folk art carts, each uniquely handcrafted from a vibrant mix of felt, feathers, wood, yarn, and string. These miniature carts depict traditional Sicilian "carretti" with elaborately decorated panels, riders, and colorful horses outfitted in festive attire.
The smallest piece is inscribed underneath: "From Sicily, Italy 1927," marking its origin and date. One cart features a solo driver, while another includes a full set of three passengers. All are adorned in period-inspired costume with distinctive painted storytelling panels on the cart sides.
These carts are ideal for collectors of vintage travel souvenirs or folk art. A delightful example of early 20th-century craftsmanship from southern Italy.
Condition:
