Eatmor Cranberries Wooden Crate β Skipper Brand, Cape Cod, ca. 1930s
Antique wooden shipping crate for Eatmor Cape Cod Cranberries, likely dating to the 1930s. Solid wood construction with visible nails and wire bindings, this crate retains partial original paper labels from Skipper Brand and the American Cranberry Exchange (New York and Chicago). Vertical red βEatmorβ stenciling is still legible on both ends, adding bold graphic appeal.
The crateβs rustic charm and authentic patina make it an eye-catching decorative piece or storage accent. Originally used to transport a one-fourth barrel of cranberries, this piece tells a story of early American agricultural trade.
π Condition:
In good condition overall, with age-appropriate wear including surface marks, fading, and partial label loss. Structurally sound with original hardware and slats intact. A character-rich piece with authentic vintage patina.
