Description

(4) Rome Etchings – G.B. Mirri & Laurenzi, Signed, Framed, Ltd. Ed.

A refined set of four professionally framed etchings capturing timeless Roman landmarks, including two limited edition works by noted Italian artist G.B. Mirri. These finely detailed etchings reflect mid-20th century Italian craftsmanship and architectural reverence.

G.B. Mirri works include:

  • “Roma, La Fontana del Pincio” – Limited edition #44/300, signed in pencil lower left.

  • “Roma, Mercato a Campo de' Fiori” – Limited edition #41/300, also signed in pencil lower left.
Mirri, active mid-century, is known for his expressive etchings of Roman life and cityscapes, capturing both grandeur and daily rhythms.

The other two etchings, by Laurenzio Laurenzi (1878–1946), include:

  • “Trinità dei Monti, Roma” – featuring the Spanish Steps and twin-towered church.

  • “Tempio di Vesta, Roma” – depicting the iconic round temple, more precisely identified as the Temple of Hercules Victor.
Both are signed in pencil lower left and display expert linework and classical composition typical of Laurenzi’s architectural etchings.

Each piece is mounted under glass with olive matting and housed in light oak wood frames, offering a cohesive and elegant display.

Condition:

All four etchings are in excellent, like-new condition. No visible damage, fading, or foxing. Frames, mats, and glass are clean and professionally assembled, ready for display. Pencil signatures are clear and crisp.
