Striking hand-painted steel art panel by renowned Mexican artist Andres Martin Del Campo, featuring a bold 3D reticulated depiction of a saguaro cactus in relief against a richly textured desert background. Executed in cut, shaped, and welded steel, the piece is enhanced with layered paint in earthy hues of green, ochre, rust, and charcoal.
This wall hanging is both sculptural and expressive, combining folk art roots with contemporary flair. The cactus is rendered in dimensional form, projecting slightly from the surface with expressive linear incisions that mimic the texture of the plant’s surface. The panel is signed in the lower left (embossed into the metal) and retains its original “Hecho en México” label on the reverse, dated 2011.
