Description

S. Koop Bronze Sculpture “Rapture” – Eagles in Flight, Ltd. Ed. 130/299

This exceptional bronze sculpture, titled Rapture, was created by acclaimed American artist Sandra Koop (1959–2021), celebrated for her lifelike wildlife bronzes. Depicting two bald eagles captured in a dramatic aerial dance, the piece conveys a breathtaking sense of motion, power, and natural grace. Each feather and sinew is sculpted with remarkable precision, a testament to Koop’s mastery and her deep reverence for nature.

Cast using the traditional "Lost Wax Method", this limited edition work is number 130 of 299, each signed and individually numbered by the artist. The sculpture is mounted on a substantial 2-inch-thick custom marble base with green veining that complements its bold form. Koop’s work has been featured in numerous public and private collections, with commissions for institutions including Sea World and the Hubbs Research Center. Rapture stands among her most iconic and sought-after works, embodying the symbolic spirit of freedom and the American wilderness.
