Pair of French Art Deco Mahogany Nightstands w/ Marble Tops & Brass Pulls
A finely crafted pair of French Art Deco nightstands from the 1930s, made from solid mahogany with warm grain and deep tone. Each features a beveled pink marble top above a single drawer, hand-cut with dovetail joinery and fronted by bold, floral carving. Below, a cabinet door opens to divided storage: an open shelf and a lower compartment lined with cream enameled steel—original to the design and likely intended for water basins or personal items. Cast brass pulls and shaped feet complete the look, with ribbed apron detailing adding subtle geometric interest typical of the Art Deco period. Finished backs allow for versatile placement.
These nightstands reflect the elegance and function of pre-war French design—ideal for collectors or interior settings seeking period-authentic charm.
Condition:
Good overall, with surface wear and finish fading consistent with age. Scuffing to the feet and minor scratches are visible. Enameled liners show staining and some residual paper. Structurally sturdy; all hardware and doors are functional. See photos for detailed views.
