1960s Japanese Lacquered Table Lamp — Signed, Hand-Painted, No Shade
Japanese lacquered table lamp, dating to the 1960s, with a hand-painted base featuring a traditional landscape scene in gold and bronze tones. The detailed imagery includes temple architecture, pine trees, and mountainous backdrops rendered in classic mid-century Japanese export style. The upper section is also hand-decorated in a matching motif. Signed on the back of the base (signature illegible).
This version features a pull-chain switch and includes the harp and finial, though the original shade is not present. A sculptural and atmospheric piece, ready for pairing with a custom shade of your choice.
Condition:
