English Mahogany Dressing Table w/ Mirror – Early 20th c., 4 Drawers
Classic English dressing table in solid mahogany, dating to the early 20th century. The design features a tilting beveled mirror with shaped corners, mounted above four dovetailed drawers—two smaller above two full-width—with traditional brass ring pulls. Drawer heights measure approximately 3 3/8", 4 1/2", and 5 1/2". A decorative geometric backboard adds a refined touch, while the piece is supported on square, tapered legs.
Construction includes dovetail joinery and screw-mounted elements, consistent with early 20th-century techniques. Though maker is unmarked, the form and detailing are typical of Edwardian-influenced styles from the period. A handsome piece with good bones, ideal for bedroom use or as a restoration project.
Condition:
In fair condition overall, with visible scratches, finish wear, and surface marks throughout. The top left drawer is stiff to open. Mirror remains intact and adjusts smoothly. Solid and structurally sound. An excellent restoration candidate—see photos for detail.
