Description

Antique Arts & Crafts Oak Curio Cabinet – No. 355, Early 20th Century

This early 20th-century Arts & Crafts-style curio cabinet, marked No. 355 on the rear, embodies the craftsmanship and design principles of the Arts & Crafts movement, with Mission-style influences. Constructed from solid quarter-sawn oak, the cabinet features a finished paneled back, curved glass side panels, and a central glass-paned door with vertical muntins, creating an elegant yet functional display piece.

Designed with versatility in mind, the cabinet includes three removable shelves with plate rails and beveled edges, ideal for displaying fine china, collectibles, or decorative items. Impressively retaining its original glass panels, the cabinet also features a working brass lock with its original key.

With its clean lines, sturdy construction, and refined details, this cabinet reflects the ideals of the Arts & Crafts movement, blending beauty with utility—an aesthetic championed by designers such as Charles Limbert and Gustav Stickley.
